Helena and Manuel’s wedding brought together two different languages and cultures, with the breathtaking Mosteiro dos Jerónimos as stage for the most important day of their lives.
Coming from Spain, they decided to choose specific symbols from their hometowns, Lisbon and Madrid. This way, the two cities could always be present, from the stationary to the decor.
Black cats from the rooftops of Madrid joined Lisbon’s sardines, resulting on a sober and elegant stationary, just like our couple.
Olga and Artem brought their family and friends from very far away, from Russia, and chose Portugal as the setting for this very special day.
They had a very well-defined concept: nautical theme, where blue and white could contrast with intense red. From there, they left everything in our hands and they gave us complete freedom to explore the theme and transform the dining room of the hotel – of a modern style – into an environment that was both romantic and relaxed, with the sea as a background.
There are many words that could describe this unique day. And many were the words written by the couple when they told their love story as they invited family and friends to celebrate with them – João told how he met and fell in love with Joana, and Joana did the same.
Monastery, fog, mountains, the 50s, love letters, flowers and chalk are some of the words that were present on this day and the days before it.
We did everything so that the wedding was a continuity of the couple and of the marvelous landscape that surrounded them. The flowers were on all the tables and the chalk almost left marks on the walls. A lot of handiwork, a lot of writing, a lot of research went on this job that lasted for a year.
What gives us the most enjoyment is the challenge of designing a project from beginning to end. For the Blue Wedding, the common thread of all the pieces wasn’t hard to find.
The couple chose the beautiful library of Palácio Conde d’Óbidos, in Lisbon, for the ceremony. Other than finding a mood that fit the couple perfectly, we worked so that everything would suit the atmosphere of the ceremony and the reception.
After a lot of attempts, trips to the feira da ladra and to the printing house, lots of cutting and gluing, building and sealing, this was the final result.
It was a pleasure to work with Sofia and Mário. As soon as we first met, it was as if we’d known them forever. The couple had their theme very well-defined: the countless trips they did together (and that they’ll keep on doing, because there’s still a lot to discover) and from there the ideas started flowing right away.
For this wedding, we did something we love – recycling old materials. In this case, for the invitations we used postcard from several places, there weren’t two that were the same. We rolled up our sleeves and built globes, hundreds of boats and paper planes for the table centers.
A lot of couples dream of getting married at the beach, feeling the sun, the sand and the fresh breeze. These weddings are always pretty and relaxed, but the one of Catarina and Rui was special, planned to the smallest detail. And not even the threat of rain and the stubborn wind ruined what was a perfect day!
With the Island of Arroz, at Comporta Beach, as a setting, everything was designed keeping in mind the simplicity, elegance and boldness of the couple.
We love the challenge of foreign couples, that’s what we live for! It’s amazing to look for influences and learn about traditions/cultures different to ours and, in the end, everything makes sense.
In the wedding of Jackie and Sheinal, we dove into the Chinese and Indian cultures and, during 9 months, we planned, designed, guided and, together with the couple, materialized the event, which lasted for 4 days, included 3 ceremonies and guests from all over the world.
The graphic pieces had Portuguese inspiration but were written in English and Mandarin. The emerald green and white marked the decoration of a glamorous and elegant wedding we’ll never forget.
Every wedding is unique and impossible to forget. But Lauren and Nuno showed up and surpassed everything in all categories.
A Luso-American wedding, in a magnificent place with an incredible energy – lasting 3 days. With fado nights, wine tasting and a stunning ceremony, every decoration detail transpired elegance and refinement, between tiles, candlesticks and a very particular architecture.
The couple wanted to feel like the king and queen of the palace and we believe that is exactly what happened.
